Commit d305178 body self-declares this debt. Closes the renderer-side half of §4.44. Joins JSON-envelope asymmetry family #90/#91/#92/#110/#115/#116 as 7th; joins silent-state inventory #102/#127/#129/#130/#131 as 6th.
